Key Responsibilities

1. Lead Mega Steel Projects (2–6 MTPA)

Own the end-to-end lifecycle of Greenfield and Brownfield steel projects—from conceptualization and basic engineering to commissioning and handover.

2. Technology & Techno-Commercial Finalization

Evaluate, negotiate, and finalize packages with leading global technology partners such as:

• Paul Wurth

• SMS Group

• Primetals

• Danieli

• Midrex

• Linde

• Mecon

• Dastur

• IDOM

Key units include Blast Furnace, Sinter Plant, Coke Oven, EAF/BOF/DRI, Oxygen Plant, and Raw Material Handling Systems.

3. Site Execution & Construction Leadership

Lead large multidisciplinary teams, EPC/EPCM partners, PMCs, and civil contractors to ensure on-time, high-quality project delivery aligned with global standards.

4. Manage Multi-Location & International Projects

Lead multiple concurrent projects across India and overseas locations (Africa, Middle East, Europe), maintaining uniform quality, safety, and cost efficiency.

5. Drive Operational Excellence

Conduct feasibility studies, optimize plant operations, and introduce new technologies in Tube Mills, Shredding Units, Rolling Mills, and Mining operations.

Ideal Candidate Profile

Experience

You are a strong match if you have:

• 20+ years in large-scale steel/metallurgical project execution.

• Leadership experience in Greenfield & Expansion projects (2–6 MTPA).

• Hands-on collaboration with global technology suppliers (SMS, Primetals, Danieli, Midrex, etc.).

• Experience in major units like Blast Furnace, Sinter Plant, Coke Oven, RMHS, EAF/BOF/IF, Caster, Oxygen Plant, Rolling Mills.

• International on-ground project exposure across Africa, Europe, Middle East, and Asia.

Skills & Competencies

• Strong leadership of large, cross-functional engineering teams.

• Expert-level project planning, budgeting, and risk management.

• High technical judgement and techno-commercial decision capability.

• Proficiency in MS Project, AutoCAD, and MS Office Suite.
