About the Role

Orbit Global HR Consultants is hiring a Technical Project Manager for a leading consulting and analytics organization. This is a high-impact role designed for professionals who excel in technical project delivery, engineering coordination, agile execution, AI/LLM understanding, and operational excellence.

The ideal candidate will work closely with engineering teams, manage roadmaps, plan sprints, track deliverables, and lead cross-functional communication to ensure successful delivery of complex technical projects.

Key Responsibilities

1. Roadmap Ownership & Planning

• Own and maintain the engineering project roadmap.

• Lead sprint planning, establish PRD templates, and manage engineering priorities.

• Balance competing stakeholder requirements across multiple technical pods (Data, Automation, Platform).

2. Cross-Functional Coordination

• Act as the primary interface between engineering teams and business stakeholders.

• Facilitate requirement gathering, clarify specifications, and ensure alignment.

• Communicate updates, risks, and technical implications across teams.

3. Delivery & Execution Management

• Drive end-to-end delivery of technical projects including data infrastructure, APIs, and AI-ML systems.

• Monitor sprint health, track dependencies, and resolve blockers proactively.

• Conduct sprint ceremonies, retrospectives, and progress reviews.

4. Engineering Process Implementation

• Implement scalable project management systems (Jira/Notion).

• Set up workflow frameworks, documentation structures, and reporting norms.

• Build operational excellence within engineering functions.

Core Skills & Technical Expertise

Technical Skills

• Strong understanding of SDLC, engineering workflows, and modern development practices.

• Ability to participate in code-level conversations and evaluate technical proposals.

• Familiarity with Cloud Infrastructure (GCP preferred), CI/CD, DevOps tools, and system architecture discussions.

• Working knowledge of Python or Java, plus proficiency in SQL.

• Hands-on experience with engineering and productivity tools:
  Jira, GitHub, Notion/Confluence, Slack, Google Workspace.

• Understanding of AI/LLM systems, data pipelines, APIs, and automation systems.

Communication & Leadership Skills

• Excellent communication skills for both technical and non-technical teams.

• Strong stakeholder management with the ability to drive decisions and influence outcomes.

• Skilled in translating technical constraints into business implications.

• Ability to manage ambiguity and lead teams without direct authority.

Mandatory Requirements

• Minimum 2+ years working with engineering teams in product, data, or AI-driven environments.

• Proven experience in delivering data infrastructure / API / AI-ML / automation projects.

• Strong SDLC understanding and ability to engage in technical discussions.

• Familiarity with cloud platforms, DevOps, and CI/CD processes.

• Programming knowledge: Python or Java, plus SQL proficiency.

• Experience using Jira, GitHub, Notion, Slack, and related tools.

• Strong skills in sprint planning, roadmap ownership, tracking, and delivery management.

• Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills.

• Open to travel across India for project requirements.

Preferred Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, IT, or equivalent technical field.

• Experience building or managing AI/LLM-powered applications is an advantage.

• Strong analytical mindset and familiarity with modern engineering best practices.
