3️⃣ Your Mission – What You’ll Do
Your role is to own and grow flow meter and industrial instrumentation sales across Pune (base), Gujarat, and key North India territories. You’ll be the face of the company for customers in your region, combining technical understanding with relationship‑driven selling.

You will:

  • Develop new business in your territory

    • Map key industries and accounts in chemicals, oil & gas, pharma, water treatment, and related sectors.

    • Generate and qualify leads through visits, references, and local networks.

    • Build a healthy sales funnel so you’re never short of opportunities.

  • Meet customers on-site and be their trusted technical partner

    • Visit plants, utility areas, and technical offices to understand processes and measurement challenges.

    • Conduct product demos, site surveys, and technical discussions with engineers, maintenance teams, and decision-makers.

    • Translate real‑world application issues into flow metering solutions that work.

  • Design and propose the right solutions

    • Analyze process data, line size, media, and application constraints.

    • Recommend suitable flow meters and accessories, preparing technically sound and commercially competitive offers.

    • Explain the pros/cons and ROI to help customers choose confidently.

  • Own the entire sales cycle

    • Prepare and submit quotations, follow up systematically, and negotiate terms (pricing, delivery, technical conditions).

    • Convert opportunities into confirmed POs while protecting margins.

    • Track and follow up on outstanding payments to ensure timely collections and clean accounts.

  • Coordinate smooth execution with internal teams

    • Work closely with inside sales, logistics, service, and engineering teams for order processing, dispatch, and installation support.

    • Keep customers updated on delivery schedules and resolve issues proactively.

  • Stay on top of your numbers and pipeline

    • Maintain accurate records of visits, enquiries, quotes, orders, and forecasts using Excel/CRM.

    • Review your funnel and region performance regularly with the Sales & Marketing GM.

  • Represent the brand in the market

    • Attend exhibitions, trade shows, and technical seminars when required.

    • Share structured feedback on competitor activity, pricing, and customer needs with the product and engineering teams.

This role gives you end‑to‑end ownership: from first visit to payment collection and after‑sales satisfaction.


4️⃣ Requirements – Who Succeeds in This Role

🟢 Must‑Have Qualifications & Skills

  • Education:

    • Diploma or Degree in Instrumentation, Mechanical, or Electrical Engineering, or

    • BSc / MSc in Physics with strong interest in industrial applications.

  • Experience:

    • Minimum 3 years in field sales of industrial products (e.g., flow meters, pumps, valves, gauges, transmitters, automation solutions).

  • Technical capability:

    • Solid understanding of industrial instrumentation basics; able to learn flow measurement technologies quickly.

    • Comfortable reading basic P&IDs, process parameters, and technical specifications.

  • Sales & soft skills:

    • Strong communication in English and local language; able to speak confidently with engineers and purchase managers.

    • Clear, structured presenter – you can explain complex points simply.

    • Target‑oriented mindset with persistence in follow‑ups and closures.

    • Hands‑on problem solver – you prefer visiting the site and understanding the issue instead of guessing from behind a desk.

  • Tools & work style:

    • Proficient in MS Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook).

    • Willing and able to travel extensively across Gujarat and North region from the Pune base.

    • Self‑driven, disciplined with planning, reporting, and time management.

  • General working hours: Monday to Saturday, 9:30 AM – 6:00 PM (adjust as per your policy).

  • Field travel across Gujarat and North region based on customer visits, reviews, and events.

  • Some overnight/outstation travel expected each month, depending on territory plan and projects.


8️⃣ Location & Accessibility

  • Base Office: Pimpri MIDC, Pune, Maharashtra.

  • You operate from the Pune office but handle Gujarat & North region territory.

  • Well‑connected by road and public transport (buses/auto/nearby railway station – you can specify exact details).

  • Parking available for two‑wheelers and four‑wheelers (if applicable).
