Role Overview
We are seeking an experienced Procurement Manager with strong exposure to Cosmetics, Baby Care, and Personal Hygiene categories. This role is ideal for professionals who have worked in D2C brands or fast-growing FMCG startups and have hands-on experience managing end-to-end procurement, vendor partnerships, cost optimization, and regulatory compliance in a high-growth environment.The role will play a critical part in supporting new product launches, scale-up operations, and supply chain efficiency, working closely with cross-functional teams including Supply Chain, R&D, Quality, and Marketing.Key Responsibilities
Strategic Sourcing & Procurement
- Own end-to-end procurement of raw materials, packaging, and finished goods
- Develop and execute procurement strategies aligned with D2C and FMCG business models
- Identify, evaluate, onboard, and manage manufacturers, formulators, and packaging vendors
- Drive cost optimization initiatives, negotiations, and supplier consolidation
Vendor & Contract Management
- Negotiate pricing, MOQs, lead times, credit terms, and SLAs
- Build and manage long-term supplier relationships with defined performance metrics
- Prepare, manage, and review vendor contracts and rate cards
- Proactively handle supplier escalations and mitigate supply risks in fast-paced environments
Quality, Compliance & Regulatory
- Ensure procurement compliance with BIS, FDA, ISO, GMP, and other applicable regulations
- Coordinate with QA/QC teams for audits, quality approvals, and compliance checks
- Maintain complete regulatory documentation, ensuring audit readiness at all times
Planning, Inventory & NPD Support
- Collaborate with Supply Chain, Demand Planning, R&D, and Marketing teams
- Support New Product Development (NPD) sourcing and accelerated launch timelines
- Manage inventory planning while minimizing excess stock and obsolescence
Costing, MIS & Analytics
- Prepare and manage cost sheets, BOMs, and vendor benchmarks
- Track procurement savings, KPIs, and supplier performance metrics
- Present regular MIS reports and analytical insights to senior leadership
Mandatory Criteria (Non-Negotiable)
- Proven procurement experience in Cosmetics, Baby Care, or Personal Hygiene categories
- Hands-on experience with end-to-end procurement ownership
- Strong expertise in vendor sourcing, evaluation, onboarding, and negotiations
- Solid understanding of pricing, MOQs, lead times, credit terms, and SLAs
- Demonstrated success in cost optimization and supplier consolidation
- Strong knowledge of quality, compliance, and regulatory standards
- Advanced capability in costing, BOMs, MIS, procurement KPIs, and analytics
- Excellent stakeholder management skills across supply chain, R&D, and marketing teams
Preferred (Expected) Experience
- Experience working with D2C brands or new-age FMCG startups
- Exposure to fast-paced, scale-up operations
- Experience in inventory planning and obsolescence control
