About the Opportunity
Orbit Global is partnering with a leading consumer e-commerce brand to hire a Vice President – Online Growth.
This is a high-impact leadership role for a growth-focused business leader who has successfully scaled large online revenue portfolios and owned full P&L responsibility. The role demands deep operational expertise across Quick Commerce, Marketplaces, and D2C, combined with strong analytical and leadership capabilities.
We are seeking a leader who builds systems, drives execution excellence, and delivers sustainable profitability — not just high-level strategy.
Key Responsibilities
1. Growth Strategy & Revenue Ownership
Develop and lead the complete online growth strategy across:
Quick Commerce (Blinkit, Zepto, Instamart)
Marketplaces (Amazon, Flipkart, Nykaa & others)
D2C channel
Drive aggressive revenue, acquisition, retention, and profitability targets.
Balance short-term performance marketing with long-term brand equity.
Identify scalable growth levers across channels.
2. Digital P&L & Operational Excellence
Own and manage full digital P&L.
Optimize CAC, LTV, ROI, contribution margins, pricing, and discount strategy.
Ensure operational rigor across:
Product listings & catalog quality
Inventory planning & availability
Pricing governance
SLA & fulfillment performance
Build cross-functional SOPs to scale operations efficiently.
Partner closely with supply chain, finance, tech, and analytics teams.
3. Data & Performance Culture
Drive a data-first decision-making culture.
Implement real-time dashboards and BI tools.
Lead D2C funnel optimization and CRO initiatives.
Institutionalize structured performance reviews and channel analytics.
4. Leadership & Team Development
Lead and mentor Category Managers, Growth Marketers, and Channel Leads.
Build scalable structures and high-performance teams.
Represent the digital business in strategic platform partnerships.
Mandatory Requirements (Non-Negotiable)
10–15 years of experience in E-commerce / D2C / FMCG / Consumer Tech.
Proven ownership of P&L.
Experience scaling a ₹100+ Cr online business (strongly preferred).
Deep hands-on exposure to:
Quick Commerce (Blinkit / Zepto / Instamart)
Amazon & Flipkart (minimum)
D2C performance marketing & CRO
Strong analytical expertise (CAC, LTV, ROI, margin optimization).
Experience leading multi-channel growth teams.
Demonstrated ability to build SOPs and scalable systems.
Candidates Will Not Be Considered If:
Experience is limited to brand marketing.
No prior P&L ownership.
Limited Quick Commerce exposure.
Strategy-heavy without operational execution depth.
Pure agency/consulting background without business accountability.
