Role Overview

Orbit Global is hiring an Associate Creative Producer – Microdrama for a confidential OTT platform. This role supports the Creative Producer in developing and executing short-format, high-engagement microdrama content designed for digital-first audiences.

The position bridges creative ideation and hands-on execution, ensuring that every microdrama project is emotionally engaging, culturally relevant, and delivered with strong creative consistency across production stages.

Key Responsibilities

1. Content Ideation & Development

• Assist in developing and shortlisting concepts and pitches for microdrama series.

• Review pitch decks and show bibles for creative feasibility, tone, and audience resonance.

• Collaborate with writers, creators, and production houses to refine approved concepts.

• Participate in story discussions, ensuring alignment with platform tone, audience psychology, and regional authenticity.

2. Creative Execution Support

• Work closely with the Creative Producer (Microdrama) on creative supervision and storytelling refinement.

• Provide inputs across casting, locations, art direction, cinematography, costumes, music, editing, and sound design.

• Partner with directors, showrunners, and production teams during pre-production, shoot, and post-production.

• Coordinate with marketing and promo teams for on-set promos, BTS shoots, and photoshoots aligned with brand tonality.

3. Research & Trend Awareness

• Track emerging content trends, storytelling formats, and genres in regional and national markets.

• Stay updated on cultural shifts, youth behavior, and audience consumption patterns.

• Contribute fresh, trend-aligned ideas for microdrama formats.

4. Project Management & Coordination

• Monitor creative timelines and deliverables to ensure timely execution.

• Collaborate with production teams on budgeting, scheduling, and resource planning.

• Provide constructive creative feedback and ensure consistency across episodes.

• Support smooth cross-functional coordination between creative, production, post-production, and marketing teams.

Mandatory Criteria (Non-Negotiable)

• Minimum 5+ years of creative experience in film, OTT, or microdrama content.

• At least 3+ years of on-ground production experience.

• Minimum 2+ years of OTT / platform or channel experience.

• Proven involvement across the entire production lifecycle (concept, scripting, pre-production, shoot, post-production).

• Strong command over storytelling, characters, emotions, and visual narrative.

• Working knowledge of pre-production:

  • Casting

  • Locations

  • Costumes

  • Set design

  • Treatment & budgeting

• Functional understanding of post-production workflows:

  • Editing

  • Sound

  • BGM

  • DI

  • VFX

• Ability to manage timelines, deliverables, and cross-team coordination.

• Deep cultural connection with regional culture or Hindi-speaking belt (HSB) sensibilities.

• Passion for culturally rooted storytelling aligned with OTT platform vision.

• Strong understanding of characters, emotions, and short-format storytelling.

• Sound knowledge of concept selection and episodic structure.

• Ability to maintain creative tonality across multiple episodes.

Pre-Production & Execution

• Good grasp of casting, locations, costumes, set design, and treatments.

• Practical understanding of budgeting and on-ground execution.

Post-Production Awareness

• Familiarity with edit workflows and creative supervision of cuts.

• Ability to provide clear, actionable feedback for final polish.

• Strong coordination and multitasking skills.

• Proactive executor with a no-follow-up mindset.

• Clear communicator and team-first problem solver.

Strategic & Cultural Understanding

• Basic understanding of data, insights, and audience behavior.

Experience Requirements

• 5+ years of creative experience in film, OTT, or microdrama content.

• 3+ years of on-ground production experience.

• 2+ years of OTT / platform or channel exposure.

• High on learning agility, passion for cinema, and execution discipline.
