Location: Indore, Madhya Pradesh
Experience: 5–7 Years in FMCG (Food Industry)
Salary: ₹4.8 – 6.0 LPA + Variable


🔎 About the Role

A fast-growing Consumer Foods Division is expanding into the high-potential category of Nutritional & Healthy Breads, along with allied bakery products such as cakes and confectionery.
We are looking for an experienced Business Development Manager who can drive market expansion, channel development, and sales execution across Retail, HORECA, and Modern Trade.


Job Title: Business Development Manager (BDM)

Industry: Foods & Beverages (Bread / Bakery / Confectionery)
Location: Indore
Qualification: Graduate + MBA/PGDM (Preferred)


🎯 Key Responsibilities

HORECA Channel Development

  • Build and manage partnerships with Hotels, Restaurants, Cafés, QSRs & Catering companies.

  • Develop a strong network of distributors, channel partners & aggregators.

  • Identify, pitch, and convert new business opportunities in the food service segment.

  • Maintain long-term relationships with influential decision-makers in HORECA.


Modern Trade (MT) Operations

  • Manage existing Modern Trade accounts with excellence.

  • Ensure product visibility, availability, and merchandising quality at store level.

  • Track and execute promotions, offers, and in-store activations.

  • Monitor performance, stock rotation, and replenishment.


Retail Trade Development

  • Map retail markets and categorize outlets into A/B/C to prioritize distribution.

  • Build distribution footprint, beat plans, route-to-market strategies.

  • Recruit & manage Distributors, DSRs to expand distribution width & depth.

  • Implement secondary sales tracking systems and measure KPIs.


🔧 Key Skills & Competencies

  • Strong experience in FMCG Food Sales & Marketing.

  • In-depth knowledge of HORECA, Retail & Modern Trade.

  • Excellent relationship-building, communication, and negotiation skills.

  • Strong analytical ability and market planning skills.

  • Willingness to travel extensively for market development.

  • Ability to achieve sales targets through strong execution and channel management.


💰 Compensation

₹4.8 to 6.0 LPA + Variable Performance Incentives
(Final package will depend on experience, skills, and suitability.)
