About the Role
We are hiring a seasoned and dynamic leader for the position of DGM / GM – Sales & Marketing for a leading medical devices organization.
This is a high-impact leadership role where you will drive end-to-end business growth for the domestic India market, with full ownership of revenue, profitability, and market expansion.
You will work closely with the Managing Director to shape the organization’s growth strategy while building scalable sales systems and strengthening market presence across India.
Key Responsibilities
🔹 Strategic Leadership & Business Planning
- Develop and execute long-term business strategies (3–5 years)
- Drive Annual Operating Plans (AOP) with revenue and profitability targets
- Identify new markets, geographies, and product opportunities
- Build scalable sales processes and governance systems
🔹 Sales, Revenue & P&L Ownership
- Own and deliver pan-India sales targets and profitability
- Manage institutional sales including:
- Government tenders & rate contracts
- Large hospital chains and private healthcare networks
- PSU, Defence, Railways, and ESIC institutions
- Drive consistent monthly, quarterly, and annual performance
🔹 Channel & Distributor Management
- Build and manage a strong pan-India distributor network
- Oversee onboarding, performance management, and channel optimization
- Ensure efficient inventory management and working capital control
🔹 Marketing & Brand Development
- Strengthen brand presence across institutional and trade channels
- Lead marketing initiatives including digital campaigns, exhibitions, and CMEs
- Conduct market intelligence and competitor analysis
🔹 Pricing & Commercial Strategy
- Develop competitive pricing strategies with margin focus
- Lead negotiations for large institutional and tender-based contracts
- Monitor market trends and optimize discounting strategies
🔹 Team Leadership
- Lead and mentor regional sales and marketing teams
- Define KPIs, KRAs, and incentive structures
- Build a high-performance and accountable sales culture
🔹 Compliance & Cross-Functional Coordination
- Ensure adherence to CDSCO, MDR, ISO standards
- Collaborate with supply chain, production, and finance teams
- Align demand planning, forecasting, and execution
Product Experience (Mandatory)
Candidates must have hands-on experience in medical consumables, including:
- Syringes & Needles
- Surgical & Examination Gloves
- IV Sets & Blood Transfusion Sets
- Catheters & Urine Bags
- Disinfection & Cleaning Products
- Oxygen / Nebulizer Masks
- Critical care consumables
Candidate Profile
Experience:
- 25–28 years in domestic medical device sales & marketing (Mandatory)
- 8–10+ years in senior leadership roles
- Proven experience in managing pan-India revenue and P&L
Education:
- MBA (Sales / Marketing) – Preferred
- B.Sc / B.Pharm / B.Tech – Desirable
Key Skills:
- Strong commercial and business acumen
- Deep understanding of India healthcare distribution ecosystem
- Expertise in institutional sales and tender management
- Excellent negotiation and relationship management skills
- Data-driven decision-making and forecasting ability
- Leadership experience managing large, multi-location teams
