Job Overview

We are seeking a highly experienced, strategic, and result-driven Legal Leader to head and manage the organization’s entire legal function. This is a senior leadership role responsible for handling all corporate legal matters while ensuring strong legal governance, compliance, and risk mitigation across the organization.

The role demands deep legal expertise, leadership capability, and the ability to work closely with senior management to support business objectives through effective legal strategy and execution.

Key Roles & Responsibilities

Corporate Legal Leadership

• Head and manage all corporate legal matters including:

  • Criminal, civil, consumer, and property-related cases

  • Drafting, vetting, and reviewing contracts, agreements, notices, and legal documentation

  • Brand protection, trademark, and other corporate legal matters

Strategic Advisory & Governance

• Provide strategic legal advice and legal opinions to senior management

• Identify legal risks and develop mitigation strategies aligned with business goals

• Ensure strong legal governance, compliance, and ethical standards across all business verticals

Team & Stakeholder Management

• Lead, mentor, and supervise a legal team of 4–6 professionals

• Independently handle complex and high-risk legal matters

• Coordinate with external advocates, law firms, regulators, and authorities

• Represent the organization before courts, tribunals, and legal forums when required

Process & Compliance Management

• Ensure timely handling and resolution of legal matters

• Maintain regular reporting to management on case status, legal exposure, and risk assessment

• Develop and strengthen internal legal processes, documentation standards, and compliance frameworks

Candidate Profile

Education:

• LLB / LLM from a recognized institution

Experience:

• Minimum 12 years of post-qualification legal experience

• Strong exposure to corporate legal matters, litigation management, and regulatory compliance

• Prior experience in leading legal teams is mandatory

Skills & Competencies:

• Strong command over corporate, civil, criminal, consumer, and property laws

• Excellent drafting, vetting, and negotiation skills

• Strategic thinking with strong risk assessment capability

• Leadership, decision-making, and stakeholder management skills

• High level of integrity, professionalism, and accountability
