About the Opportunity
Orbit Global HR Consultants, a leading executive search firm in India, is mandated to hire a Head – Product & Growth for a high-impact, fast-evolving media and entertainment platform.
This is a strategic leadership role responsible for building and scaling a habit-forming consumer Super App in the audio and digital content ecosystem.
The mandate is to transform the platform into an integrated entertainment operating system that drives daily engagement, meaningful retention, and scalable monetisation.
Role Purpose
The Head – Product & Growth will own the end-to-end product vision, user experience, platform scalability, and growth engine.
This role goes beyond feature management. It requires complete ownership of product direction, behavioural engagement loops, cross-functional execution, and measurable growth outcomes.
Key Responsibilities
1. Product Strategy & Ownership
Define and lead the long-term product vision and roadmap.
Translate business objectives into scalable product architecture and execution plans.
Prioritise initiatives aligned with growth, retention, and monetisation goals.
Prevent feature sprawl through disciplined product thinking.
Build a habit-forming, intuitive and scalable consumer platform.
2. User Experience & Behavioural Design Leadership
Drive user journey design from first install to long-term retention.
Deep understanding of UX principles, information architecture, and behavioural psychology.
Identify friction points and drop-offs using data and optimise flows accordingly.
Ensure seamless, audio-first and hyperlocal digital experiences.
Continuously refine engagement loops to increase time spent and session frequency.
3. Growth Strategy & Full Funnel Ownership
Own the entire growth funnel:
Acquisition → Activation → Retention → Monetisation
Define and track DAUs, MAUs, stickiness ratio and time spent.
Optimise CPI, CAC, and LTV performance metrics.
Collaborate with marketing and performance teams to scale efficiently.
Design product-led growth mechanisms to drive sustainable scale.
4. Technology & Platform Integration
Partner closely with engineering teams to evaluate feasibility and execution timelines.
Oversee integration of AI-driven capabilities, voice tools, analytics frameworks, and tracking systems.
Ensure product scalability and performance optimisation.
Lead data infrastructure and attribution frameworks for accurate measurement.
5. Analytics & Data-Driven Decision Making
Build and institutionalise a data-first culture within product and growth teams.
Define dashboards for weekly performance reviews.
Conduct cohort analysis, funnel diagnostics, and retention modelling.
Convert insights into actionable product improvements.
Align product metrics with business KPIs.
6. Cross-Functional Leadership
Act as the central alignment point between Content, Technology, Design, and Growth teams.
Define measurable KPIs and execution timelines.
Drive accountability and performance tracking.
Lead structured review cadences and strategic planning cycles.
Mandatory Candidate Criteria
To be considered for this mandate, candidates must meet the following:
10–15+ years of experience in Product / Growth leadership roles within consumer technology.
Strong background in digital media, audio platforms, OTT, or content-led consumer ecosystems.
Proven experience scaling meaningful DAU/MAU metrics.
Demonstrated full-funnel growth ownership.
Experience building habit-forming mobile consumer applications.
Deep exposure to UX, behavioural design, analytics, and platform scalability.
Strong cross-functional leadership experience.
Ideal Profile
Former Head / VP Product / Growth from leading audio or content platforms.
Strategic thinker with execution rigour.
Comfortable operating in ambiguous, fast-paced environments.
Strong business acumen with data-backed decision making.
Experience integrating AI or advanced analytics into consumer platforms preferred.
