Position: Senior Backend Engineer

We are seeking an experienced Senior Backend Engineer to join the client’s dynamic technology team in Noida. This is an exciting opportunity for someone passionate about building high-performance, scalable systems in a startup environment that encourages ownership, innovation, and rapid growth.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop, test, and deploy backend services using Node.js, TypeScript, Express.js, and Nest.js.

• Collaborate with product, design, and data teams to build user-focused and scalable features.

• Architect and implement microservices, MVC, and event-driven systems.

• Write and maintain automated integration and unit tests.

• Manage CI/CD pipelines (GitHub Actions or similar tools).

• Monitor and maintain production systems, ensuring performance and uptime.

• Implement clean code practices, refactoring, and code reviews to ensure quality.

• Participate in designing Domain-Driven, Cloud-Native, and Event-Driven Architectures.

• Foster an engineering culture emphasizing collaboration, scalability, and accountability.

Required Skills & Experience

• 4–6 years of professional backend development experience.

• At least 2+ years of hands-on experience with:

  • TypeScript

  • Express.js / Nest.js

• Strong experience with databases like MongoDB, MySQL, PostgreSQL, or DynamoDB.

• In-depth knowledge of System Design, Scalable Architecture, and API Performance Optimization.

• Proficiency in AWS Cloud (GCP/Azure acceptable).

• Experience with CI/CD pipelines, automated testing, and integration frameworks.

• Excellent understanding of Clean Code, OOP principles, and design patterns.

• Strong debugging, problem-solving, and analytical skills.

Preferred Candidate Profile

• Must have worked with product-based or fast-growing startup companies (mandatory).

• Familiarity with Kubernetes, GitHub Actions, Terraform, or Infrastructure as Code is a plus.

• Exposure to Media, Entertainment, or OTT platforms preferred.

• Should be comfortable in a collaborative, high-paced environment with minimal supervision.

• Passionate about solving customer problems using technology.

Mandatory Screening Criteria

1. Candidates must be from product-based or growing startup backgrounds.

2. Minimum 4 years in backend development roles.

3. Proven expertise in TypeScript, Express.js/Nest.js, and MongoDB.

4. Strong system design and cloud experience (preferably AWS).

5. Hands-on experience in automated testing and CI/CD pipelines.
