Job Overview

We are looking for a highly skilled Linux Device Driver Engineer with strong hands-on experience in Linux kernel programming, device driver development, and low-level hardware interaction. The role involves working closely with client teams on cutting-edge semiconductor and embedded projects in an onsite environment.

This is a contractual role for an ongoing project with a duration of 1 year, which may be extended based on project requirements. Post project completion, the candidate will be converted to a permanent role based on performance and business needs.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and debug Linux Device Drivers for embedded platforms.

• Work extensively with Linux kernel internals, memory management, and driver frameworks.

• Develop and integrate PCIe and DMA drivers for high-performance data transfer.

• Port bare-metal drivers to Zephyr OS and its device driver model.

• Interface with hardware using protocols such as AXI, I2C, and SPI.

• Collaborate closely with hardware, firmware, and client engineering teams.

• Perform driver optimization, testing, and troubleshooting in real-time environments.

• Ensure adherence to coding standards, performance benchmarks, and documentation practices.

Mandatory Skills & Experience

• 3 to 5 years of hands-on experience in Linux Device Driver development.

• Strong expertise in Linux kernel programming and memory management.

• Proven experience with PCIe and DMA driver development.

• Proficiency in C and C++ programming languages.

• Experience working with hardware interfaces and protocols (AXI, I2C, SPI).

• Exposure to RTOS concepts and Linux kernel internals.

• Experience with Zephyr OS, especially porting bare-metal drivers (preferred).

Preferred Skills

• Familiarity with Xilinx IPs such as AXI-DMA, XDMA, or similar.

• Experience working in semiconductor or embedded systems environments.

• Strong debugging skills using kernel logs, trace tools, and hardware debuggers.

Salary Range (CTC – LPA)

• 3 Years Experience: ₹12 – ₹14 LPA

• 4 Years Experience: ₹14 – ₹16 LPA

• 5 Years Experience: ₹16 – ₹20 LPA

(Compensation will be aligned with experience and technical expertise.)

Important Notes

• This is a contractual role for a specific project (minimum 1 year, extendable).

• The candidate will be on payroll of the hiring organization.

• Candidate must be comfortable working directly at the client location.

• Immediate to 15 days joiners will be given priority.
