Position Overview

Our client is seeking an experienced Manager – Accounts to lead and manage end-to-end finance, accounting, taxation, statutory compliance, customs, and regulatory functions for their manufacturing and assembly operations. This is a high-ownership role requiring hands-on expertise, strong compliance knowledge, and the ability to liaise with government authorities, auditors, and senior management, including direct interaction with the Managing Director.

The role is critical to ensuring financial integrity, regulatory compliance, and smooth business operations in a fast-growing OEM manufacturing environment.


Key Responsibilities

Accounting & Financial Management

  • Maintain and finalize books of accounts, including journals, ledgers, cash/bank books

  • Preparation and finalization of Balance Sheet, Profit & Loss Account, and Cash Flow Statements

  • Ensure compliance with Accounting Standards, statutory requirements, and internal controls

  • Preparation of MIS reports related to finance, production, sales, and management reporting

  • Fund planning, cash flow monitoring, and working capital management


Direct & Indirect Taxation

  • Preparation, finalization, and timely filing of Income Tax Returns

  • Handling Income Tax assessments, notices, and departmental cases

  • Supervision and review of monthly GST returns

  • GST reconciliations and verification of key data points and compliance timelines

  • Handling GST audits, notices, and litigation, in coordination with CAs and consultants


Audit & CA Coordination

  • Coordination with Chartered Accountants for:

    • Statutory audits

    • Tax audits

    • Preparation and timely submission of audit reports

  • Providing audit data, explanations, and compliance documentation


Legal, Regulatory & Government Compliance

  • Handling Custom Bond applications and monitoring utilization

  • Compliance with DGFT, CBIC, IGCRD, BIS, LMPC, and WPC regulations

  • Managing and following up on government incentive schemes (e.g., MSIPS, UPEMP)

  • Studying and summarizing legal cases, customs notices, and regulatory orders

  • Briefing senior management / MD on legal and regulatory matters

  • Liaison with Customs Department and other statutory authorities


Environmental & Statutory Compliance

  • Managing compliances related to:

    • E-waste

    • Battery waste

    • Plastic waste

  • Coordination with external agencies and ensuring timely filings and documentation


Educational Qualifications

  • B.Com / M.Com (Mandatory)

  • Preference: Candidates pursuing or holding LLB qualifications

  • Strong proficiency in:

    • Tally Prime

    • Advanced MS Excel

    • MS Word & MS Outlook

  • Languages: Hindi & English


Experience Required

  • 10–18 years of relevant experience in:

    • Manufacturing / OEM / Electronics industry (preferred)

    • Accounts, taxation, audits, and regulatory compliance

  • Strong exposure to GST, Income Tax, customs, and statutory compliances

  • Experience in import–export and government liaison is highly desirable
