We are seeking an experienced and dynamic Manager (Technical Sales) to lead strategic sales, business development, marketing, and key account management initiatives for advanced Ventilation Systems in underground mining and tunneling industries. This role is responsible for driving revenue growth, acquiring new customers, expanding business with existing clients, managing end-to-end bid/tender processes, and collaborating with internal and external stakeholders for successful project execution.

The ideal candidate will have deep technical knowledge of ventilation solutions and proven experience in technical sales within the mining/tunneling sector. If suitable candidates from this niche are unavailable, we are also open to Sales professionals from the Electrical industry (Motors, VFDs, Instrumentation, Electrical Integrators, etc.).


Key Responsibilities

1. Sales & Business Development

  • Drive sales strategies to achieve revenue, profitability, and market share targets.

  • Identify and develop new customers, business avenues, and growth opportunities.

  • Strengthen brand presence through strategic partnerships, alliances, and market penetration initiatives.

2. Technical Sales & Key Account Management

  • Manage key accounts including mine owners, mining contractors, EPCs, technical consultants, and OEMs.

  • Oversee the entire technical sales lifecycle: project award, invoicing, follow-up, client relationship management, and documentation.

  • Deliver accurate technical solutions, address customer queries, and support after-sales operations.

3. Tendering, Bidding & Techno-Commercial Operations

  • Manage the complete tender and bid process for mining and tunneling ventilation systems.

  • Analyze technical specifications and coordinate with internal teams for timely submission of techno-commercial proposals.

  • Conduct negotiations, cost estimations, proposal preparations (including deviations), and finalize scope of work.

  • Participate in pre-bid meetings and technical discussions with key stakeholders.

4. Market Research & Competitor Analysis

  • Gather market intelligence on upcoming mining and tunneling projects.

  • Track competitor activities and design competitive strategies to win contracts.

  • Maintain yearly project pipeline and submit MIS reports such as bid trackers, win/loss analysis, CRM updates, and order status.

5. Project Coordination & Internal Collaboration

  • Coordinate with cross-functional teams in India and Europe to ensure seamless product delivery.

  • Support the project execution team post handover by providing technical clarity and documentation as required.


Qualifications & Experience

Education

  • B.Tech degree (or equivalent) in:

    • Mining Engineering

    • Mechanical Engineering

    • Electrical Engineering

    • Related technical disciplines

Experience

  • Minimum 5+ years of experience in:

    • Sales / Technical Sales

    • Business Development

    • Marketing

    • Key Account Management

  • Preferred industry: Ventilation Systems for Underground Mining & Tunneling

  • Alternatively: Strong Sales experience in the Electrical industry (Motors, VFDs, Instrumentation, Electrical integrators, etc.)

Technical & Professional Competencies

  • Strong understanding of ventilation systems, mechanical equipment, or electrical solutions.

  • Expertise in bid management, techno-commercial analysis, and contract negotiations.

  • Excellent communication, client engagement, and relationship-building skills.

  • Ability to work independently, manage multiple projects, and achieve sales targets.

  • Strong analytical, strategic planning, and decision-making capabilities.
