Role Overview

We are seeking a Principal Data Scientist to lead the design, development, and deployment of advanced AI systems focused on:

• Automatic Speech Recognition (ASR)

• Large Language Models (LLMs)

• Generative AI

• Clinical NLP

• Agentic AI Systems

• Cloud-native AI architectures

This role requires deep expertise in healthcare AI, model fine-tuning, cloud deployment, and scalable production systems. The selected candidate will play a key role in shaping the AI roadmap and leading mission-critical AI initiatives.

⚠️ Mandatory Screening Criteria (Non-Negotiable)

Candidates must meet all of the following:

• 7+ years of experience in ML, Generative AI, NLP, ASR, and LLMs (preferably healthcare domain)

• Strong Python expertise with hands-on experience in PyTorch and/or TensorFlow

• Experience fine-tuning transformer-based models

• Experience deploying scalable AI solutions on AWS/Azure/GCP

• Hands-on MLOps implementation with Docker and Kubernetes

• Experience with LangChain, OpenAI APIs, vector databases, and RAG architectures

• Experience integrating AI with EHR/EMR systems

• Strong understanding of HIPAA, HL7, and FHIR compliance

• Experience leading AI initiatives and mentoring teams

Key Responsibilities

AI Strategy & Architecture

• Define and lead AI strategy for speech recognition, NLP, and conversational AI

• Build transformer-based solutions (Whisper, GPT, LLaMA, BERT, T5, etc.)

• Develop agentic AI frameworks for multi-agent orchestration

• Design scalable AI architecture for clinical speech & text analytics

Model Development & Optimization

• Fine-tune and optimize LLMs for medical summarization and documentation

• Develop ASR models for real-time clinical transcription

• Improve accuracy, latency, and reliability of AI systems

• Conduct model validation aligned with clinical performance standards

Cloud & MLOps

• Architect AI systems on AWS / Azure / GCP

• Deploy models using containerization (Docker) and Kubernetes

• Implement CI/CD and lifecycle monitoring for ML systems

• Establish robust MLOps frameworks for scalability and governance

Integration & Compliance

• Integrate AI models with EMR/EHR systems

• Ensure HIPAA, HL7, and FHIR compliance

• Implement bias detection, ethical AI frameworks, and regulatory safeguards

Leadership & Collaboration

• Mentor data scientists and ML engineers

• Collaborate with healthcare professionals and product teams

• Drive AI research, innovation, patents, and publications

• Contribute to long-term AI transformation strategy
