Job Overview
We are seeking an experienced Purchase & Stores professional with strong expertise in procurement, vendor management, and inventory control within the real estate / construction industry. This role is critical to ensuring timely material availability, cost optimization, and smooth store operations to support ongoing and upcoming projects.
The ideal candidate will be proactive, detail-oriented, and capable of managing multiple site requirements while maintaining cost efficiency and compliance with company policies.
Key Responsibilities
Purchasing & Procurement
Plan and execute effective sourcing and purchasing strategies aligned with project and site requirements.
Identify, evaluate, and onboard new vendors and suppliers as per business needs.
Maintain and regularly update the approved vendor and supplier database.
Negotiate pricing, payment terms, credit periods, and delivery schedules to achieve cost efficiency.
Track, analyze, and control procurement costs and overall purchase expenditures.
Prepare MIS reports, purchase summaries, and cost analysis reports for management review.
Ensure compliance with company procurement policies, approval matrices, and documentation standards.
Stores & Inventory Management
Ensure timely availability of materials at project sites and stores.
Monitor stock levels, inward/outward movement, and inventory reconciliation.
Coordinate with site teams to forecast material requirements and avoid shortages or excess inventory.
Maintain accurate records related to materials, GRNs, and stock registers.
Coordination & Accounts Support
Coordinate closely with the Accounts Department for bill verification, processing, and timely vendor payments.
Resolve vendor queries related to billing, payments, and deliveries.
Support audits and internal reviews by providing procurement and inventory documentation.
Qualifications & Experience
Degree or Diploma in Material Management / Supply Chain Management / Logistics or a related field.
3–6 years of relevant experience in the Real Estate / Construction / Infrastructure industry (mandatory).
Skills & Competencies
Strong vendor negotiation and relationship management skills.
Good understanding of procurement processes, contracts, and inventory control systems.
Proficiency in MS Excel, MS Office, and ERP / inventory management software.
Strong analytical, coordination, and reporting abilities.
Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple site requirements simultaneously.
Good communication and stakeholder management skills.
