About the Opportunity
Orbit Global HR Consultants, a leading executive search firm, is partnering with a fast-growing digital entertainment platform to hire a highly skilled Senior DevOps Engineer. The organization operates at large consumer scale, serving millions of users across Tier 2 & Tier 3 India, and requires a DevOps expert capable of building and managing high-availability cloud infrastructure, automation pipelines, and scalable systems.

Role Overview
The Senior DevOps Engineer will be responsible for designing, optimizing, and maintaining cloud infrastructure on AWS, automating CI/CD workflows, implementing observability systems, and ensuring the reliability of production environments. The role demands hands-on expertise, strong ownership, and the ability to manage high-traffic B2C environments.
Key Responsibilities
1. AWS Cloud Infrastructure Management
Architect, deploy, and manage scalable and fault-tolerant solutions on AWS (EC2, ECS/EKS, Lambda, S3, CloudFront, IAM, VPC, RDS, Route53, ELB/ALB).
Optimize infrastructure performance and cloud costs across environments.
Ensure high availability and reliability for streaming and large-scale workloads.
2. CI/CD Pipeline Automation
Build and maintain automated pipelines (Jenkins mandatory; GitHub Actions/GitLab CI preferred).
Implement blue/green and canary deployments for microservices.
Streamline deployment processes for backend APIs and mobile applications.
3. Monitoring, Observability & Incident Response
Work with Grafana, Prometheus, CloudWatch, ELK, New Relic, etc.
Create proactive alerting systems and resolve incidents with detailed RCA.
Build dashboards for real-time insights into performance and traffic behavior.
4. Security & Risk Management
Conduct risk assessments across cloud infra, IAM, networking, and secrets management.
Implement VPC isolation, WAF policies, firewall rules, SSL/TLS, and best security practices.
Reduce vulnerabilities and strengthen system resilience.
5. Scalability & Reliability Engineering
Analyze OTT-scale traffic and prepare infrastructure for peak loads.
Optimize microservices, caching, CDN (CloudFront), and DB workloads.
Conduct capacity planning and load testing for future 10x traffic growth.
6. Database & Storage (MongoDB)
Manage MongoDB in production—indexing, replication, query tuning, backups.
Implement data recovery, redundancy, and performance optimization.
Collaborate with backend teams to improve data performance.
7. Automation & Infrastructure as Code
Build and maintain IaC using Terraform, CloudFormation, or Ansible.
Automate repetitive DevOps tasks to improve consistency and efficiency.
Mandatory Requirements (Non-Negotiable)
5+ years of DevOps/SRE experience in cloud-native, product-based companies.
Strong hands-on AWS experience across core and advanced services.
Expertise in Jenkins-driven CI/CD pipelines.
Production-level MongoDB experience.
Strong scripting skills (Bash, Python, Shell).
Solid understanding of networking fundamentals.
Experience in incident management, root cause analysis, and production firefighting.
Preferred Skills
Exposure to OTT, media streaming, or high-traffic B2C platforms.
Working knowledge of Docker, Kubernetes/EKS, or service mesh.
Familiarity with CDN management, caching, and streaming workflows.
