About the Role:
Orbit Global is looking for a skilled Service Engineer to join a high-tech, global organization. This role offers the opportunity to provide technical support for Electron Microscopy instruments, including installation, maintenance, repair, and application support. You will interact directly with customers and channel partners across India, helping them achieve optimal performance and outcomes with high-end equipment.

Job Purpose

As a Service Engineer, you will:

• Deliver on-site service support for high-end Electron Microscopy equipment.

• Support product demonstrations and marketing initiatives.

• Assist channel partners technically for all major and minor customer requirements.

• Ensure customer satisfaction while achieving revenue and service targets.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide frontline support for service, service sales, and spare inquiries.

• Perform installation, calibration, preventive maintenance, and repair of Electron Microscopes.

• Engage customers professionally, demonstrating technical expertise and integrity.

• Prioritize tasks to meet service call response agreements.

• Achieve revenue and service targets through effective execution of maintenance and repair.

• Collaborate with internal teams to resolve customer issues and enhance processes.

• Manage spare parts including ordering, usage, returns, and inventory counts.

• Maintain technical proficiency by attending trainings and staying updated on products and markets.

• Manage travel and adhere to company travel policies.

• Conduct product demonstrations and provide application guidance to support channel partners.

Qualifications & Experience

• Bachelor’s or higher degree in Electronics Engineering or related field, or equivalent practical experience.

• 6–10 years of practical experience as a field/service engineer.

• Effective questioning and problem-solving skills to identify customer needs.

• Strong time management and proactive planning skills.

• Collaborative mindset, adaptable to new circumstances.

• Willingness to travel extensively within India and internationally as required.

Key Skills & Competencies

• Proven experience in sales/service of Electron Microscopy instruments such as Table-Top Microscopes, SEM, FESEM, TEM (120 kV & 200 kV), and FIB.

• Exceptional communication and negotiation skills.

• Ambitious, driven, and results-oriented.

• Ability to work effectively in fast-paced, dynamic environments.

• Fluency in English and local regional language; Japanese knowledge is a plus.
